YOU NEED: silk/viscose;
fusing; 7 buttons.
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM
ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM
ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.
SEAM ALLOWANCE:
1 cm for all seams, 3 cm for garment/sleeve hems.
ATTENTION! Before sewing,
print paper patterns and lay them out according to the linen width (from 90 to
150 cm) to find out how much material you need (do not forget about double and
symmetric details).
WHEN SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE
COINCIDING!
CUTTING:
Fabric:
1. Collar – 2 pieces
2. Stand-up collar – 2 pieces
3. Center back part – 2 pieces
4. Side back part – 2 pieces
5. Side front part – 2 pieces
6. Center front
part – 2 pieces
7. Front band – 2
pieces
8. Sleeve – 2
pieces
Fusing: front band, outer collar, stand-up collar.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Apply the fusing to wrong
side of front band, outer collar and stand-up collar.
2. Stitch front relieves and neaten them. Press relieves
toward front center.
3. Stitch back relieves and neaten them. Press
relieves toward back center.
4. Neaten middle back seam, stitch it and press it.
5. Neaten front bands’ inner
edge.
6. Pin front band on
front part right sides together and overstitch along edging. (Overstitching
goes upwards at front part side.) Stitch front bands’ lower edges to front part
along hem line. Cut front edgings lower corners’ seams. Topstitch front
edgings’ overstitching allowances on front bands at 0.2 cm from seams. Turn front
edgings right side
out.
7. Neaten shoulder seams,
stitch them and press them backwards.
8. Neaten side seams, stitch them and press them backwards.
9. Overstitch inner collar
with outer cone, cut corner allowance and turn the collar right side out. Press
them collar.
10. Stitch stand-ups
together inserting the collar between them.
11. Stitch inner stand-up
with the collar into neckline, fold outer stand-up under and topstitch along
the seam joining inner stand-up. Topstitch the collar.
12. Stitch sleeve edges.
Neaten sleeve seam and press it.
13. Stitch sleeves in easing
them along sleeve caps. Neaten joining seam.
14. Neaten dress/sleeve hems, fold
them into wrong side
and topstitch along
edges.
15. Make buttonholes into
right front edging, sew
buttons on left one.
