YOU NEED: middle/high stretchable jersey (natural or mixed),
jersey braid (or narrow piping), decorative narrow fastener.
IF THE PATTERNS
HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,
IF THE PATTERNS
HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.
SEAM ALLOWANCES: 1.5 cm for the hem, 1 cm for side
seams and front vertical edge, 1 cm for other seams.
ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out according to the linen width (from 90 to 150
cm) to find out how much material you need (do not forget about double and
symmetric details).
WHEN SEWING, BE
CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE COINCIDING!
CUTTING:
Fabric:
1. Back part – 1 piece
2. Front part – 2 pieces
OUR ADVICE: stitch jersey details with
special elastic/zig-zag stitches. If you use an overlock, cut seam allowances
till 0.6-0.8 cm width. Topstitch hem allowances with double needle to save
elasticity.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Stitch front upper darts. Slash dart depths, neaten
and press them.
2. Stitch side back/side front edges leaving a hole
into right side seam (for ties). Neaten seams and press them backward. Make decorative
stitch along side whole.
3. Neaten the hem and front vertical edge. Press them
into wrong side and topstitch.
4. Trim front/wrap edges making ties of 80-90 cm
length.
5. Trim front/back neckline making a strap. Adjust
strap length when trying the garment on. Begin and finish trimming at front
neckline leaving ends of 5 cm length. Pull ends of decorative braid through the
fastening and fix them on front parts’ wrong side.
